The New NYC Spa Experience With The Best Views Of Manhattan

You can now see one of the best views of New York City from a waterfront spa while wearing a robe and relaxing on Governors Island.

QC NY recently opened two highly anticipated sprawling outdoor tempered infinity pools, which give guests an unprecedented panoramic view of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New Jersey.

“Our spas & resorts are founded on the magic of wellness through water,” says Janine DiGioacchino, CEO of QC US, “Inspired by ancient Roman baths, our spa pools are meticulously designed for an optimal wellness experience and are at the heart of our brand. Although we hit some unanticipated delays, it was all to maintain the integrity and quality our spa pools are known for, and we are confident that they were worth the wait.”

The outdoor spa pools opened on May 28. They feature proprietary underwater hydro seats and loungers that massage the body and are designed to promote relaxation, increase lymphatic circulation, and revitalize the body and mind. Both spa pools are heated and open year-round with entry to QC NY.

The spa pools complement several indoor wellness amenities, including relaxation rooms (each with its own carefully curated personality, scent, and music), themed saunas, Vichy showers, infrared beds, foot baths, hydro jets, steam baths, and more.

Guests are given luxurious bathrobes, sandals, towels, shower products, and a storage locker. All they need to bring with them is a swimsuit. Guests also have the option to buy massage treatments as well as Italian bites and alcoholic beverages from Mionetto Prosecco, illy Coffee, and more. There is no need for you to carry a wallet around the spa, as guests will be given loadable bracelets for easy payment.

QC NY is open 365 days a year. It’s part of the QC Terme Spas and Resorts, previously only found in Europe. The spa on Governors Island is the first in the United States and the only location outside of Europe.

QC Terme Spas and Resorts was established in 1982 in Italy by two brothers, Saverio and Andrea Quadrio Curzio. More than 1.5 million visitors have visited the nine incredible destinations throughout Europe including Bormio Bagni Vecchi, Bormio Bagni Nuovi, Pre Saint Didier, Milano, Torino, Monte Bianco, San Pellegrino, Roma, Dolomiti, and Chamonix.

Much of QC Terme is influenced by history and culture. Ancient Roman baths were places of wellness, pleasure, gathering, and relaxation, offering physical wellness and spiritual rejuvenation. Guests will find these traditions and philosophies, with unique nods to each of the locations’ histories. On average, European guests spend 8 hours at the spa, proving the spa’s ability to allow people to slow down and enjoy the experience.

The spa on Governors Island is located across three historic Army barracks buildings, which have been refurbished and preserved to maintain the rich history of the local property while also giving it new life. Governors Island is a 172-acre island in New York Harbor. It’s 800 yards from Lower Manhattan and minutes away from Brooklyn. It’s a popular destination with an award-winning park with dozens of historic buildings, year-round educational and cultural facilities, an arts and culture program, and a 22-acre National Monument managed by the National Park Service.

There are more United States locations expected to open in the future. QC NY is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Day Passes start at $88 and include access to the entire spa, all amenities for the whole day, and a roundtrip ferry ticket.
